What an a fantastic evening!

Bob Worthington

Bob's expression pretty much says it all! Things were about as cool on Wednesday night at Harry's as they could possibly get.  There was a blues program scheduled at the nearby Cape Cod Melody Tent which included David 'Honeyboy' Edwards, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Robert Cray.  Laddie of Harry's got busy, invitations were extended, Rick and the Horns were hired, and fingers were crossed.  The music started in the usual fashion at around 10:00 like it always does.  As the first set progressed, familiar faces gradually appeared in the audience.  Kim Wilson, Jerry Portnoy, 'Honeyboy' Edwards, Nick Curran were seen mixed in with the Harry's summer party crowd.  Several of the invited guests were kind enough to join Rick onstage, making for a fantastic show.  This of course was AFTER they'd all just played at the Melody Tent.  So special thanks to all the guest performers for a great night at Harry's.

'Sometimes a plan just comes together' and we all thank and congratulate Laddie on her efforts in putting together this great, memorable night!  A job well done and a bit of good luck, sometimes you get one or the other, this time we got both!

Stop down to Harry's if you can, hear some quality music, make some music of your own by making the cash register ring, and say thanks for their efforts and love of quality blues music.  There are so few places and this one is a gem.  Help them out, they're certainly holding up their part of the bargain!

Thanks to Laddie, Fred, and all the great staff of Harry's Bluesbar, in Hyannis, MA !

Nick Curran played nearly the entire second set with the band.  He was more than kind and generous with his time, and with the attention he paid to patrons.  Thanks very much Nick!

Yes, it's still about the shoes!   More shoes!
